- Why are you inspired to be of service in the world?
- To serve is the greatest gift we have to give. I love to practice and teach yoga and know that it flips dark into light all over the world. I feel full of life and know that I have a great deal to share. I have traveled so much and lived so freely that I feel blessed to be able to share my experience to inspire others to create their own unique balance.
- About Me:
- I am twenty nine years old. I am not this body though and have taken some time to learn and live blissfully. Ten years ago I started practicing yoga and I am so thankful for all the blessings that have come to me through an intense commitment to following the path that is true to me. I have lived in Nepal, studied in the rain forests of Costa Rica, worked in the hospital in Dominican Republic, farmed coffee in central america, grown strong roots in the movement towards sustainable agriculture in the mid-west, rode my bicycle from Lima, Peru to Dodge City, Kansas, graduated with a degree in environmental biology and now I am raising my four year old nephew who lost his mom to a life sentence in Prison and I teach yoga full time.
- Tell us about any Seva Projects that you are already involved in...
- None yet but I would really like to know Hala and more people who are extending their heart to heal.

I would contact hala@halakhouri.com. One of Hala's passions is working with at-risk youth, and I'm sure she can provide you with some guidance in that area. There are also some other members on ning that work with at-risk youth. Off the top of my head, Abby Wills and Taryn Hughes. You may want to shoot them a message -- they could have some additional ideas for you as well.
